Winging it

P1100090Apologies to the individual Swansingers for rendering you “unfocused” in this photo, but just have to share with the wider world anyway. There is something so beautiful and painterly in this picture. It captures the grace and majesty of our Quire, and reveals how effortlessly Alice Prowse’s simple costume effects (enhanced by a serendipitous splash of red) transformed you from one to many, and from many to one.

A message to any Swansingers who could not be with us on the weekend. You were with us in spirit. This was not the end. Please come and sing with us again. Swans may come and go from the wedge…and the pool remains open as we move forward. More news on that soon.

    I just loved my wing!
So simple, yet so elegant, it felt like an extension of myself by the end.
Methinks that Alice has a bright future in her chosen field.

I love this image. I’m so sad that I couldn’t be there. I’m only just getting better now from a nasty dose of flu that attacked every part of my aging body. I was there in spirit too, and I do want to be informed of any developments so that I can join in.
