Please welcome to TTFO….. Margret RoadKnight
10August 21, 2013 by wandalusst
Team TTFO is just about beside itself to announce that the legendary Australian singer, Margret RoadKnight will be joining us to premiere the role of Verity, in our oratorio, Swansong!!!The Musical!!!
Margret is a legend of the Australian alternative music scene, as her website proclaims.
“A unique and passionate artist, renowned for her powerful vocals and wide-ranging roots-based repertoire with lyrics full of wit and wisdom, Margret RoadKnight survives and thrives outside the mainstream music scene with flair and soul.
Five decades into her career, she continues to tour extensively, singing rivetting if under-exposed songs, either acappella or with her guitar and African thumb piano, solo or with accompanying musicians, always interspersed with informative and amusing anecdotes, at venues ranging from house concerts to outdoor festivals (and yes, she still reprises her fondly remembered mid-’70s Australiana ‘Girls In Our Town’).”
You can catch up on a complete discography, fabulous photos and interviews, and Margret’s complete biography at her fascinating website.
Joining Margret to complete our ensemble – and look out for more pix and intros coming soon – will be Lisa Maza as The Weaver, Rosie Bray as The Child, and Tracy Bourne, Sue Breedon and Caroline Lee as The Eternal Verities, all ably supported by our Musical Con-Sorts and Quire.
Is that exciting news, or what?
Fabulous!
Yippee and HURRAY!
It’s taking shape before our very eyes.
What a fantastically talented line-up with Margret et al.
It’s great to be a part of this unfolding wonder…
That’s fantastic, Peta.
I didn’t realise that she was joining the production; maybe I wasn’t paying attention when you mentioned her.
Cheers
Roz – 9 more sleeps!
Recent developments. And the occasional secret.
Well done Chief. Nothing like an oldie and goodie!

Very exciting news! I’ve also just realised how many very talented people are already involved in this project.
More strength, great voice, very uplifting news.
Huge and exciting news. Thanks for keeping us posted. x
Have loved Margret from way back. What a legend! Delighted that she is on board
Hi Peta – how amazing that sounds. I remember, circa 1966/7 in Melbourne, sitting in a “coffee lounge” drinking something strange and watching a beautiful young M. RoadKnight strumming and singing “folk music” – it was so exciting! Keep up your great works and trust that you are all well, love Rob and Gwen ( we are off on a Canadian and US adventure on Monday)
